Colours fill the space giving it shape and bestowing life on it.
Colours are the flavour of things, the scent of happiness.
Every colour is a dream. Every shade is the echoes of a smile, every nuance the tenderness of a caress. Every tonality is an idea.
And suddenly movements of shapes and lights, notes of emotions, punctuations of silences… Visions.
It’s the symphony for simultaneous colours, an oneiric world that lets you go far away, beyond the horizon of reality…

'It's very good jam,' said the Queen.
'Well, I don't want any TO-DAY, at any rate.'
'You couldn't have it if you DID want it,' the Queen said. 'The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday--b
ut never jam to-day.'
'It MUST come sometimes to "jam to-day,"' Alice objected.
'No, it can't,' said the Queen. 'It's jam every other day: to-day isn't any OTHER day, you know.'
'I don't understand you,' said Alice. 'It's dreadfully confusing!'

(Through the looking glass, chapter V L. Carroll)

Six impossible things before breakfast

"I can't believe that!" said Alice.

"Can't you?" the queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again, draw a long breath, and shut your eyes."

Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said. "One can't believe impossible things."

"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

(Excerpt From ‘Through The Mirror Glass’ by Lewis Carroll)

“Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast” . A strange title that well represents the world of the selected painting and poems by Aste, a magic and surrealist way to look at the reality…

It's jam every other day
Symphony for simultaneous colours
Second star to the right...

....and straight on till morning lies the land of the pure imagination,
a realm made with happy thoughts and kaleidoscopic images.

Dreams and poetry melt in a world dominated by colours where there is not ups and downs, rights or wrongs, but only the easy being of fantasy and impossibility that emerge at every step.

The exhibition leads visitor in a journey in which real and ideal melt in a metaphysic reach of meanings.

Sorrow, never again! Fear, never again! Discrimination, never again! Humiliation, never again! Solitude, never again! Shame, never again!
The time is ripe, "the love that dares not to speak its name" should raise its head and look the world with courage and happiness.
Homosexual love is not different for purity, intensity or nature from heterosexual one. It is love, just love.
This is the main goal of the exhibit: to give voice and visibility to the “different” love.

“Never again!”. Paintings and poems for a better life…
