“Grazie di tutto Miss West” is the new book written by Dario Janese. An Exciting novel whose cover is Andrea Aste’s painting “The Show of Life seen from the Trapeze”.

The book is very special; one of the character is inspired by Andrea Aste and the title itself  has a very peculiar origin. Dario and I were talking about the book, at that time still to be finished, when, answering to Dario’s question, I quoted Mae West… in that very moment the book had its title “Thanks for everything Miss West”!(AA)

The painting is dedicated to Arturo Brachetti’s show “Gran Varietà“. Aste wanted to create a work of art free from the limitation of our rationality, able to capture the strong emotions and the magic of the show. Thanks to a very interesting discussion about creativity and art with Arturo Brachetti and Kevin Moore I decided to realize a technique I’ve never tested: drawing the sketches totally blindfolded. The result was unexpectedly interesting and I decided to transfer it on a  canvas and paint it, with very few corrections (AA)

Andrea Aste has been captured…. and soon after escaped! Here the photos of the interrogation of the dangerous mad artist…

“… I cannot avoid to create parallel worlds… am I guilty!!? YES! I am guilty of IPERcreativity!”

aaa

“I am PROUD of my dastardly deeds! …And… I’ll do it again, Mr inspector, it’s a such pleasure… “

“au revoir, Mr. inspector. See you soon, another world is waiting to be created…”

Another creative collaboration: Andrea Aste & Kevin Moore (alias Arteo Photo)! “I love Kevin creativity. We are been working on common projects for years. I really appreciate his style and way of working, very professional and at the same time… easy. Creating with him is so easy.”

My crimes, my pleasures is a project inspired by classical B&W noir movies. Kevin wanted to create a series of photos with a dark mysterious atmosphere, taking inspiration from my works depicting the 20′s. Idea after idea, mixing our creativity, we finished to create a noir story!”

“we had lot of fun, above all when we had to fight against my curly locks! Tons of hair gel  had to be constantly used… just to take them at their place for some minutes!”

“A city is more than a mere conglomeration of buildings, avenues, street lamps, people and parks… A city is also made of dreams, fantasy, ideas and sentiments. It is a place of possibilities, a melting pot where everything is created and forged. A city is a state of mind and soul, a way of being, sensuality and perfumes, exaltation and fears, love and mystery.” AA
